Born a pure Abyssinian cat, she emigrated from her homeland to Sicily alongside her husband Elias to escape the violent territorial and religious conflicts of the Era of the Princes (between 1830 and 1855). Arriving in a new country at the young age of 17, while her husband was 20, she settled gratefully on Domenico Verdi's land as a servant, bringing along their daughter Caterina, who was a year and a half old at the time.
An untiring homemaker with a true passion for cooking and sewing, Farah completely integrated into her new life, adopting the traditional customs and elegant attire of a Sicilian matriarch.
